You'll be safe in South Africa during the 2010 World Cup

From World Cup 2010 South Africa

When I tell people I spend time in South Africa the first thing they always refer to is the crime rate and there is a problem but it's not as bad as people think.

Danny Jordaan, CEO of the Local Organising Committee, has also defended his country this week to confirm the safety of everyone visiting South Africa for the World Cup in 2010.

He told the gaggle "There is no question that this country has the capability to safeguard every person that comes here for the World Cup,"

Teddy's Comment: Many people don't believe the South Africa government and the governing body can tackle with the crime problems. Unless spend more on police force, it is impossible to hold a successful World Cup 2010.

What a joke.
The government can't even safeguard their own citizens; how are they going to cope with protecting visitors from abroad.
Crime Syndicates are already planning for the World Cup 2010, they are aware that this will be great oppurtunity for them to take advantage of all the foreign visitors during the 2010 tournament.
Take from me, it's not worth the risk; rather watch the games from the safety of your own home(country).
