2010 World Cup: win in Africa with Africa

FIFA president, Sepp Blatter launched the “International year of African Football” recently in Addis Ababa, and criticised those doubting Africa’s ability to host the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

“Our alternative hosts for 2010 World Cup are South Africa and South Africa”, Blatter was quoted as saying, reinforcing FIFA’s determination to hold the tournament in Africa.

Blatter said host South Africa had assured that the 2010 World Cup would benefit other African countries in the spirit of “win in Africa with Africa.”

Teddy's Comment: I also doubt the South Africa ability to host a successful World Cup 2010 because they do not have much experience to host such important event and do not have ability to invest a lot of funding compared with wealth countries.
